To the exhibition
POROUS is the second version of an evolving, site-based exhibition project. It examines the body as a porous boundary that is continually shaped by relationships, memory, touch, intimacy, and the environments in which we live.
More about the concept
The first version was shown under the title ‘Softcore Intervention’ at the Festival 48 Stunden Neukölln in Berlin. For Galerie van den Boom, the project is refocused on space and its public context. Abstract painting, sculpture, textile, sound, light and spatial elements combine to form a walk-in installation.
The focus is on the question: What happens when we understand the body not as a fixed boundary, but as something that absorbs experiences, resists them, remembers them, and changes itself through encounters?
